Farm City Festival

Next event set for fall 2018
Biennial event

9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A celebration of local farmers, ranchers and growers that ties into the national observance of Farm City Week which precedes the Thanksgiving holiday. This event will host local food and natural product vendors, UF/IFAS extension, and 4H clubs. There will be live music, a tractor parade and petting zoo.

It was very important to bring this event to Citrus County to a prime location that could bring together Hernando and Citrus counties’ farmers and the community in a big way. This
festival drew 2,000+ festival goers to Liberty Park to learn more about local agriculture in a hands-on way with live demos and petting zoos.

The event was enhanced through the enthusiasm of many groups, especially the Citrus County Ag Alliance. The City would like to also thank some outstanding groups that came together to help make the event a huge success: Hernando-Citrus Farm Bureau, Citrus County 4-H clubs, Soquili Stables, Citrus High JROTC, and M & B Dairy.
