The City of Inverness welcomes  back its popular old-fahioned locomotive ride, which is free of charge. New this year, join the City for the official lighting at 6 p.m. on the Valerie Plaza 22-foot tall Christmas tree(next to the fountain).

The Valerie Theatre will have a free showing of the Miracle on 34th Street, please contact the theater for tickets in advance.

The Old Courthouse Museum & Citrus County Historical Society will offer a free Christmas music event on the 2nd floor starting at 5 p.m. by the Citrus County High School Choir, no tickets required. The museum will also be open until 8 p.m. with free admission to all exhibits. This marks the 22nd year the "Christmas Trees Around the Old Courthouse" have been placed around the museum. You will also find Santa and Mrs. Clause on the Old Courthouse grounds for the evening, sponsored by the Historical Society.

The Citrus County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a horse carriage ride on a first come, first serve basis, at no charge. Visit their tent on the Square for registration.

It's a Christmas edition of the popular Citrus MOPAR cruise-in with Christmas music provided by Jim and Michele T. 

New this year, Apopka Marine will be there with candy and it's Junior Angler Boat that they plan to give away at the March 24, 2018 Inverness Big Bass Classic.

The parade route will start at Montgomery Ave and will proceed east on Hwy 44, ending at Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.

This is a day time parade with many of the floats playing festive Christmas music! Perfect for those who have young ones that can't stay out too late. Join in on the fun by wearing your favorite holiday out fit or dress up as one of Santa's helpers!
